accuracy

UK/ˈak.jʊ.ɹə.si/US/ˈæk.jɚ.ə.si/
nounB2Common in everyday speech and writing · #6,903 of 15,258leans written

Other forms: accuracies

Accuracy is freedom from error. Check the accuracy, a high degree of accuracy, accuracy and precision.

It is not the same as precision, and the difference matters: accuracy is how close you are to the true value, precision is how close repeated measurements are to each other. A scale can repeat itself perfectly and have no accuracy at all.
