bedwetting

nounB2Very rare — outside the 30,000 commonest English words, so you will meet it in writing rather than in speechneutral

Bedwetting is wetting the bed during sleep. Grow out of bedwetting.

It is common up to about seven and is nobody's fault, which is the thing worth saying to a child. Bedwetting stops on its own in nearly every case, and punishment makes it last longer.
