Boring means so uninteresting that it makes you sleepy. A boring film, boring work, deathly boring.
The pair with bored is the classic learner trap: a boring lecture leaves you bored, and saying I am boring means something quite different from I am bored. The same pattern runs through interesting and interested, tiring and tired. Note boring in its literal sense, meaning drilling a hole — boring a tunnel, a boring machine — which is the same word and is why bore means both a dull person and a drill.
