Other forms: daredevils
A daredevil is somebody who takes wild physical risks for show. A daredevil stunt, a young daredevil, daredevil antics.
The for show is essential: a daredevil performs, where a risk-taker merely risks. It belongs to motorcycle jumps, high wires and stunt performers. As an adjective it describes the acts themselves. Note that the word is one who dares the devil, which is a compound English built to that pattern — a scarecrow and a killjoy are made the same way.
