Daring means bravely willing to take big risks. A daring escape, a daring plan, daring rescue.
It is admiring rather than reckless: a daring plan is bold and might work, where a reckless one is bold and probably will not. It attaches to escapes, raids and rescues in reporting. Applied to clothing or art it means boldly unconventional — a daring dress, a daring production. Note the noun, as in her daring; and dare, which as a verb takes both a bare infinitive and a full one.
