denouement

UK/deˈnuːmɑ̃/US/ˌdeɪ.nuˈmɑnt/
nounC2Rare in speech; mostly a word you read · #13,032 of 15,258leans written

A denouement is the final part where everything is explained. A satisfying denouement, the denouement of the plot, a rushed denouement.

It comes after the climax rather than being it, which is the distinction critics keep, since the climax is the crisis and the denouement is the untangling. The French means an untying, from the knot of the plot.
