Other forms: double-booked
To double-book is to promise the same time slot to two people. Double-book the room, I have double-booked myself, double-booked again.
Hotels and airlines do it on purpose and call it overbooking, since some people never turn up. In an office it is nearly always an accident and always somebody's fault.
