Other forms: enrolled, enrolling, enrolls
To enroll is to officially sign up as a student or member. Enroll on a course, enroll in school, enrollment day.
This is the American spelling; British English writes enrol with one l in the base form and enrolled, enrolling with two, which is a rule that catches out everybody. Enrollment likewise doubles in America and does not in Britain. Note that the word means literally to write on a roll, from the parchment roll a list was kept on.
