Feta is a salty white Greek cheese crumbled over salad. A block of feta, crumbled feta, feta and olives.
It is made from sheep's milk, sometimes with goat, and kept in brine, which is where the salt comes from. Only cheese from certain parts of Greece may be called feta in Europe, and the name means slice in Italian.
