filter bubble

nounC1Not compared — the two pools are counted one word at a time, so a phrase has no score

A filter bubble is the narrow world a recommendation system shows you. Trapped in a filter bubble, burst the filter bubble, a filter bubble of agreement.

The term was coined in 2010 for the effect of personalised results: the more a system learns what you click, the less it shows you anything else. The bubble is invisible from inside, which is the whole difficulty.
