get over

phraseB1Not compared — the two pools are counted one word at a time, so a phrase has no score

To get over something is to recover from an illness, a shock or a broken heart. Get over the flu, get over him, never got over it.

It also means to communicate, as in getting a point over, and get over it is a blunt instruction to stop dwelling on something. The parts separate, so you get over a cold and get it over with.
