Greece is the country of Athens, ancient temples, and a thousand islands. Travel to Greece, northern Greece, the islands of Greece.

It has thousands of islands and only a couple of hundred are inhabited. No point in the country is more than about a hundred and forty kilometres from the sea. Democracy, theatre, philosophy and the Olympic games all began there, which is a great deal for one small place.
