Homogeneous means all of the same kind throughout. A homogeneous mixture, a homogeneous population, remarkably homogeneous.

In chemistry it is precise, since a homogeneous mixture has the same composition everywhere and a cup of tea qualifies while a bowl of muesli does not. Of a society it is a description that usually carries an argument with it.
