jet lag

UK/ˈd͡ʒɛt.læɡ/US/ˈd͡ʒɛt.læɡ/
phraseB2Not compared — the two pools are counted one word at a time, so a phrase has no score

Jet lag is the dazed tiredness after flying across many time zones. Bad jet lag, suffering from jet lag, get over the jet lag.

The body clock shifts about an hour a day, so six zones take roughly six days to settle. Flying east is worse than flying west, because it is harder to go to bed early than to stay up late. Morning daylight at the destination is the most useful fix.
