Other forms: lightweights
A lightweight is a boxer fighting at a limit of about sixty-one kilograms. The lightweight title, a former lightweight, move up from lightweight.
It sits above featherweight and below welterweight, and the divisions exist because weight decides a fight more reliably than skill does. Outside boxing, calling somebody a lightweight means they lack substance, and it is always dismissive.
