mexico

UK/ˈmɛk.sɪ.kəʊ/US/ˈmɛk.sɪ.koʊ/
nounA2Very common — you will meet it every day · #1,091 of 15,258leans written

Mexico is the country of tacos, mariachi, and ancient pyramids, south of the USA. Travel to Mexico, from Mexico, the coast of Mexico.

Mexico City is built on the drained bed of a lake and is sinking into it, several centimetres a year in places. The country holds pyramids older than most of Europe's cathedrals, and its cuisine is on the list of intangible cultural heritage — the only one there for a whole national kitchen at the time.
