minibar

nounB1+Common in everyday speech and writing · #8,252 of 15,258mostly spoken

A minibar is the small fridge of drinks and snacks charged to your bill. Raid the minibar, the minibar prices, empty the minibar.

The prices are famously several times what a shop would charge, and many hotels have removed them because guests stopped using them for exactly that reason. Some now weigh the contents automatically, so moving a bottle can charge you for it.
