To move in with somebody is to go and live in the same home as them. Boxes, and a conversation about whose sofa stays.
It is a three-part phrase and stays together. For couples it is a recognised milestone with real weight, since living together changes a relationship's legal and practical shape as well as its emotional one. It also covers moving in with a relative or a friend, which is usually about money or care. Move out is the opposite and rarely said cheerfully.
