pedicure

/ˈpɛ.dɪ.kjʊɹ/
nounC1Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #8,814 of 15,258mostly spoken

Other forms: pedicures

A pedicure is a treatment that cares for the feet and toenails. Have a pedicure, a pedicure appointment, book a pedicure.

For anybody with diabetes it is a medical matter rather than a cosmetic one, because poor circulation and reduced feeling make small foot injuries dangerous — which is why a podiatrist rather than a salon is the right place. The Latin means foot care.
