resounding

UK/ɹɪˈzaʊn.dɪŋ/
adjectiveC2Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #10,946 of 15,258neutral

Resounding means ringing loudly, or emphatic and beyond dispute. A resounding victory, a resounding no, resounding success.

The figurative sense is much the commoner and means the result left no doubt, which is why a resounding defeat is as usable as a resounding win. The literal sense is a sound filling a space.
