Other forms: singularities

A singularity is a point where the usual rules break down. A gravitational singularity, approach the singularity, the technological singularity.

In physics it is the point at the centre of a black hole where the equations give infinities, which is generally taken as a sign that the theory is incomplete rather than that the universe is. The technological singularity is a quite separate speculation.
