sleek

UK/sliːk/US/sliːk/
adjectiveB2+Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #8,970 of 15,258neutral

Sleek means smooth, glossy and elegant. Sleek hair, a sleek design, sleek and modern.

Of an animal's coat it means glossy and well-fed, which is the oldest sense. Of a design it means clean-lined and free of clutter, and it is the standard compliment in advertising for cars, phones and kitchens. Of a person it can carry a hint of being too polished — a sleek operator. Note that sleek is a variant of slick, and the two have divided the work between them.
