slurry

UK/ˈslʌ.ɹi/US/ˈslʌ.ɹi/
nounC1Rare in speech; mostly a word you read · #14,862 of 15,258leans written

Other forms: slurries

Slurry is liquid farm waste, stored and spread on land. Spread the slurry, a slurry tank, slurry spreading.

It is manure and water together and is valuable fertiliser and a serious pollutant at once, since a spill can strip the oxygen from a river within hours. Storage and spreading dates are regulated for exactly that reason.
