soulless

UK/ˈsəʊl.ləs/US/ˈsoʊl.ləs/
adjectiveC1Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #9,892 of 15,258leans spoken

Soulless means without warmth or human feeling. A soulless building, soulless work, soulless corporate.

It is a criticism of atmosphere: a soulless place is well-made and dead, which is why it attaches so often to new offices, chain hotels and business parks. Of work it means dull and meaningless. It is one of the few insults that says nothing is wrong except that nothing is right. Note that the compound is Old English and unchanged.
