Other forms: spinners
A spinner is the arrow you flick to decide your move in a board game. Flick the spinner, the spinner landed on four, a card spinner.
It replaces dice in games for young children, since a spinner cannot be lost under the sofa and lands flat. In cricket, a spinner is a bowler who turns the ball off the pitch rather than bowling fast. A spinner is also somebody who spins wool, which is the oldest sense, and in politics a spin doctor is a different creature entirely.
