take care

phraseA22 meaningsNot compared — the two pools are counted one word at a time, so a phrase has no score

Take care is a warm farewell. Slightly more than goodbye, and rather less than a hug.

It is what you say to somebody leaving in bad weather, or going through a difficult time, and it carries real affection without being effusive. There is a separate literal sense, since taking care of something means dealing with it and taking care over something means doing it carefully. Take care of yourself is the fuller farewell and is warmer still.
