unblemished

adjectiveC1Rare in speech; mostly a word you read · #12,768 of 15,258neutral

Unblemished means without any mark or fault. An unblemished record, unblemished skin, an unblemished reputation.

It is used far more of records and reputations than of surfaces, and it makes a strong claim — one lapse is enough to end it. Note blemish beneath it, from an Old French word meaning to make pale or damage.
