unchanged

UK/ʌnˈt͡ʃeɪnd͡ʒd/US/ʌnˈt͡ʃeɪnd͡ʒd/
adjectiveB2Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #9,565 of 15,258leans written

Unchanged means exactly as it was before. Nothing has moved.

It is used in reports and forecasts, so interest rates left unchanged and the team is unchanged are both standard, and in sport an unchanged side is news in itself. The word carries approval or complaint depending entirely on whether change was wanted. It goes after the verb more often than before a noun. Its neighbours are unaltered, which is formal, and the same, which is plainer.
