uninterested

adjectiveB2+Rare in speech; mostly a word you read · #14,063 of 15,258leans written

Uninterested means not caring about something at all. It could be fascinating and you would still be looking out of the window.

It takes in. The word is worth guarding, because it is constantly confused with disinterested, which strictly means impartial. A judge should be disinterested and had better not be uninterested, and that sentence is the clearest way to hold the difference. Bored describes the state of suffering it, and indifferent covers roughly the same ground with slightly more coolness.
