Weightlifting is lifting the heaviest possible load overhead. Olympic weightlifting, take up weightlifting, a weightlifting record.

The Olympic sport has two lifts, the snatch and the clean and jerk, and both are done in one movement from the floor to overhead. It is a sport of technique as much as strength, and the speed under the bar is what separates lifters.
