nounB2+Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #11,241 of 15,258leans written

Wellness is the state of being healthy in body and mind. Workplace wellness, a wellness programme, wellness industry.

The word carries a claim: that health is something broader than the absence of disease and is worth working at deliberately. It is also a marketing term attached to a very large industry, much of which sells things with no evidence behind them. Note well; and that the word is old, though this use is modern.
