A whoremonger is a man who consorts with prostitutes, in old use. Denounced as a whoremonger, an old whoremonger.

It is archaic and belongs to biblical translation and to seventeenth-century abuse. Sex worker is the term preferred now for the other person in the transaction, and the older words are avoided. The -monger ending means a dealer, as in fishmonger and ironmonger.
