Other forms: agreements
An agreement is what you have when two sides decide the same thing and both accept it. A handshake, or forty pages of contract.
The word covers both the state and the document, so being in agreement is a feeling and signing an agreement is an act. It takes on, about or with. Grammar has its own precise sense, since subject-verb agreement means the two must match in number. Trade agreements, peace agreements and tenancy agreements are all standard phrases, and reaching an agreement is what negotiations are for.
