Agriculture is the science and business of farming. Study agriculture, modern agriculture, the ministry of agriculture.

It uses about half the world's habitable land and most of its fresh water, which is why every argument about climate and nature runs through it. It began independently in several places about ten thousand years ago. The Latin means field cultivation.
