bipedal

adjectiveC1Rare in speech; mostly a word you read · #12,996 of 15,258leans written

Bipedal means walking on two legs. A bipedal dinosaur, bipedal locomotion, became bipedal.

It freed the hands, which is why it matters so much in human evolution, and the trade is a spine and a pelvis carrying loads they were not shaped for. Many dinosaurs were bipedal, and birds still are.
