Blameless means having done nothing wrong. A blameless life, entirely blameless, blameless in the matter.
It is a verdict rather than a description, and it is usually pronounced by somebody else. In engineering, a blameless post-mortem examines a failure without asking who is at fault, on the finding that people report honestly only when they are safe — which has become standard practice. Note blame; and that -less means without.
