circuitry

UK/ˈsɜːkɪtɹi/US/ˈsɝkətɹi/
nounB2+Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #8,741 of 15,258neutral

Circuitry is all the electrical paths inside a device. Delicate circuitry, the circuitry failed, printed circuitry.

It is the collective word, so you speak of the circuitry rather than the circuitries. Printed circuitry replaced hand wiring in the 1950s and made mass electronics possible. In writing about the brain it is a metaphor and a rough one.
