coronary

UK/ˈkɒɹən(ə)ɹi/US/ˈkɔɹənɛɹi/
nounC1Common in everyday speech and writing · #5,942 of 15,258neutral

A coronary is a blockage of an artery supplying the heart. Have a coronary, a massive coronary, coronary artery disease.

The name is from the crown, since the arteries sit round the heart like one. Having a coronary is also used loosely as a joke about extreme anger, which doctors find less funny than everybody else.
