Craggy means full of steep rough rock. A craggy hillside, a craggy coast, a craggy face.
Applied to a face it is a compliment, or at least is meant as one: a craggy face is lined and strongly featured rather than merely old. Of landscape it means broken rock rather than smooth slope, and a crag is a single such outcrop.
