normality

UK/nɔːˈmæl.ɪ.ti/US/nɔɹˈmæl.ə.ti/
nounB2+Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #11,727 of 15,258neutral

Normality is the state of things being as they usually are. A return to normality, some normality, the old normality.

It is nearly always spoken of in its absence, since nobody mentions normality until it has gone. Americans say normalcy, a form that was mocked when a president used it in 1920 and is now perfectly standard there.
