selfishness

UK/ˈsɛl.fɪʃ.nəs/US/ˈsɛl.fɪʃ.nəs/
nounB2Occasional — familiar, but not everyday · #9,201 of 15,258leans spoken

Selfishness is caring only about what suits you. Sheer selfishness, an act of selfishness, accused of selfishness.

It is a moral charge and a common one in family arguments, and the interesting thing about it is that everybody applies a different threshold — looking after your own interests is not selfishness until somebody else decides it is. Note that self plus -ish makes a disparaging word, as in childish and mannish.
