Other forms: valuations
A valuation is what a business or an asset is judged to be worth. A valuation of two million, get a valuation, the valuation collapsed.
In start-ups, the valuation is what investors accept the whole company is worth, which is often a matter of belief rather than of assets. In property, a valuation is a surveyor's estimate for a lender, which is not the same as a survey. In antiques and insurance it is a professional estimate for a specific purpose. Note that a valuation is an opinion at a moment, and that two honest valuations can differ enormously.
