Aqua is a light clear blue-green. Aqua walls, an aqua dress, painted aqua.
It sits between blue and green and is lighter than teal, and in web colour it is exactly the same value as cyan. The word is Latin for water, and it appears all over English in compounds: aquarium, aqueduct, aquatic, aqualung. Note aquamarine, which is the gemstone and the fuller name of the colour; and eau, which is the same Latin word worn down through French.
