humility

UK/hjuːˈmɪlɪti/US/hjuːˈmɪlɪti/
nounB2Common in everyday speech and writing · #5,416 of 15,258neutral

Humility is a modest view of your own importance. Show humility, false humility, a lesson in humility.

It is not the same as low self-esteem: the useful kind is an accurate view of yourself rather than a low one, which is why it goes with confidence more often than people expect. The Latin humilis means low, from humus, the ground.
