Other forms: nouns

A noun is a word that names a person, a place or a thing. A proper noun, a plural noun, an uncountable noun.

The school definition leaks: freedom, journey and Tuesday are nouns and are none of those three. The reliable test is grammatical rather than about meaning — if you can put the or a in front of it and make it plural, it is behaving as a noun.
