Other forms: organizations
An organization is a group of people working together under a structure. A charitable organization, the organization said, join an organization.
The structure is what makes it one rather than a crowd — an organization outlives the people in it, which is its whole point and its whole problem. It also means the act of arranging. Note the British spelling organisation with an s, and that both are correct in Britain.
